This 100 micron external fitting clear safety glass film is recommended for the external face of double glazed units or where the smooth face of the pane is exposed to weather. Already in use in many homes, schools, hospitals and commercial premises making glass child safe in case of accidents or where glass safety is required in the food manufacturing industry. It will upgrade glass to Health, Safety and Welfare Regulations. Tested to BS6206 EN12600 as required for Health, Safety and Welfare Regulation 14. You would only use external film on double glazed units or patterned glass where the smooth face is normally the external face. Single glazing only requires an internal fitting film, unless the glass is patterned, then the smooth face will be external

Because professionally fitted window film should always be trimmed during fitting, when measuring your panes for our pre-cut to size service, there is no need to allow extra for trimming as we always supply slightly oversized free of charge. All orders are pre-cut from a master roll which ensures high quality inspection of the film surface. Pre-cut orders cannot be returned or cancelled once the order has been cut.
175 Micron thick safety film is normally used on commercial applications where anti bomb blast protection is required or where spontaneous glass breakages have occurred for no apparent reason on fully tempered glass. This can happen for many reasons but the most common is nickel sulphide inclusions in (NSI) which can occur during the float glass manufacturing process.
